Some people are never happy (part 1 of 2)

Some people are never happy unless they are complaining about something. Before you get all indignant, I do understand the irony of ranting about people ranting about stuff on a blog full of my own ranting. While I do focus on things I have an issue with here, I am not only happy if I am complaining about something. I actually do have a pleasant side. The stuff I complain about is stuff that I believe needs fixing. And I frequently usually post suggestions on how to fix those things as well.

With that out of the way, on to my observation. Some people do indeed appear to never be happy unless they are complaining about something. Is this maybe their way to vent their frustration on everything that is happening in this world?

Here is an example that I think is relevant. People complain about cigarette smoke saying that it stinks and bothers them. I would agree with that. They stink. And with the chemicals added by the tobacco companies like “Benzene, formaldehyde, ammonia, acetone, tar, carbon monoxide, arsenic, hydrogen cyanide” there is a perfect recipe to shorten your life. I would say in some cases it ends up in the hospital for the rest of the person's life. Now E-Cigarettes do not contain these dangerous chemicals and they help people quit smoking. In my case after 66 years of smoking that garbage and no will power to quit on my own, I quit almost instantly with e-cigarettes.

I get a laugh when I hear people say you can get help in quitting smoking because there are nicotine patches and gums and pills etc. After you have smoked for as long as I have those patches and gums and pills don’t provide any help because by that time your heart has gotten pretty weak and so has your willpower to quit. All of those things that you can buy to quit smoking are dangerous ways to quit - they have warning s that if you have heart problems to see your physician before using them.

That may be a legal requirement or precaution that the companies take to protect themselves, but it must be based in the reality of real potential dangers. Yet while you don't hear people complaining about nicotine patches, you do hear people complaining about e-cigarettes. My suspicion are that these people are the same ones who complain most or loudest about regular cigarette smoking. And these people are the ones whom I think are the ones who are never happy unless they are complaining about something.

To be continued tomorrow. (Do not click that link until May 8, 2014 or later or you will get nowhere.  You have been warned.)
