Cellular telephone companies are the worst!

In my opinion cellular telephone companies should be monitored by the government.  Not regulated - monitored.  Some of the stuff they do seems to be violating something. About a year ago I had a complaint in regards to Rogers Wireless. I was told by a friend of mine to call the CRTC which I did. When the person answered I told her what my complaint was but she told me that they had nothing to do with these companies. Was she too lazy to take my complaint or did she not know?

Facebook is stupid

I had never been on Facebook until some one told me it was a fun site. So I checked it out. I went on it only to find out that its not that funny and mostly at times its depressing and boring.

It's that time of year

This is the time of the year where you really find out who washes before going to work. If you are using the public transit you know what I mean. No doubt there are some that wash and then there are dirty ones.

Backing up carelessly

On quite a few occasions, I've noticed some people backing out of their driveways or parking lots without looking backwards to see if the coast was clear of pedestrians or traffic. It's mostly old people that can't turn their body or head enough to look back like they should. This includes some middle age people too, because of their stomach being so big that it presses against the steering wheel which prevents them from turning to look backwards. Then there's the teenagers who keep on talking to someone in the car or on the phone and backs up at the same time. I almost got hit by an idiot backing out of his driveway when I went to the store this morning.

Warehouse (for people).

Not me.
Whenever I would go and visit my mother in a senior citizens building. The thought that came to my mind was that I was coming into a warehouse of old people just waiting to die. Then I began to feel sorry for the ones that were in there. I realize some were moved in there because relatives could not take care of them or they could not afford it or just wanted to put them away because the relatives did not want to care of them. Others, the love for them had disappeared since they were too old to help anyone else. Or life was made so miserable for them that they preferred to be in those buildings. And some simply could not afford the rent that they had to pay according to the amount they were receiving on their pension.

Sissy Boy

I was reading the about Anderson Cooper's report on this boy being born a “sissy” and the treatment that failed him miserably.  It reminded me of what I had written, about another blog that I sometimes read. Ironically, the it's also on CNN - it's about religion. On that blog they claimed that when God created man that had the genitalia of both man and woman then changed his mind and separated the two and created the woman.

Licence plates for bicycles

Enjoy your rights of the road...
I was listening to Lowell Green’s radio talk show on C.F.R.A the other day about people complaining about bicycle riders thinking they have full rights of the roads. I have to agree with them because some of them are just as brainless as the people that use their telephone or text in unsafe conditions.

The Liberals, The Budget, Groundhogs and May

Since the last election federal election in Canada, we've been hearing the Liberals say “We will build the party up again” and yet who have they taken on as interim leader? None other than Bob Rae. I guess it shows they are not trying too hard. First it was Mr. Ignatieff and now it's Bob Rae. Neither one a home grown Liberal party member.

Calculators and Cellular Phones in Schools

Calculators and cellular phones just should not be allowed in schools. I find that they are more of a distraction than any good they might offer. My reasons for thinking this?

Young and Antiques

That's right, I'm cool...
This is the season that we hear music that we can do without. Both young people and 'antiques' that have over-sized speakers in their cars drive by with their music blasting. It's often so loud that when they go by your house, they rattle the windows. Some of them don’t even have the decency to turn off their music when they decide to stop at a friend's house and go inside for a visit. What is that all about?
