Young and Antiques

That's right, I'm cool...
This is the season that we hear music that we can do without. Both young people and 'antiques' that have over-sized speakers in their cars drive by with their music blasting. It's often so loud that when they go by your house, they rattle the windows. Some of them don’t even have the decency to turn off their music when they decide to stop at a friend's house and go inside for a visit. What is that all about?

It's not even only young people doing this but some old antiques too. One comes along in a convertible and his music is blasting. You can easily tell what his intentions are because when he approaches a bunch of young girls he slows almost to a crawl. I guess it's to see if he’s going to get lucky in the hope that one of them will make some kind of a gesture to encourage him. Stupid old bugger(s). Some will encourage the old fellow and later on he'll realize that he has been taken for a ride after spending all his money for something that he was hoping to get but never did. I say good for the girl and hopefully the old antique has learned a lesson.

We have enough young people driving around thinking that every one of us likes to listen to the kind of music that they like. We especially don’t need that kind of aggravation from old antiques. Our days for that kind of stuff are over. Yes, we can think about it and imagine but that’s all we can do. Now act your age, get equipped and go fishing.

That's my rant of the day.
