OTC driver

Just recently it’s been reported on the radio and in the Ottawa Citizen that an OTC bus driver abused a rider verbally with a physical threat and using foul language   A video was taken of this and supposedly posted on youtube. com  as well as on twitter. I heard the video when it was played on the radio station CFRA minus the foul language.

Now the unions are likely to reflexively defend this guy.  He deserves a fair hearing, but the evidence is pretty clear cut - the behavior was unacceptable and should be dealt with accordingly.

If anyone has a link to the youtube video, let me know in the comments section and I'll post it here, so people can judge the incident for themselves.

Just a little rant of the day

The mayor of Ottawa is suppose to be real upset about this, as he should be.  This is a public employee, a public servant if you will.  The bus driver is there to serve the public, not the other way around.  Sure, passengers can become abusive or rowdy but that was not the case here.  Indeed even if rowdiness was an issue there are better ways to handle it than that.
