Following the news on America (Part 1)

For the past couple of years I have been following the news, any news, with specific respect to the USA. When I read the news on one site I go to different sites to see if other sites are reporting the same thing. I also want to see what they have to say about what I just read about on other sites. They don't all agree of course. By doing this I soon found out that most of them can’t be believed as to the way the same news is reported. I guess the only thing a person can do is believe half of what is reported and leave the balance aside until when maybe something else gets reported that would confirm or deny what was reported in the first place.

One thing I do believe is the reporting as to how much people are turning against their faith. Especially the faith of the Catholic religion, often turning to other religions or cults. The denying that there is a God or anything else that would represent the Holy Trinity is more common than it seems it has ever been. I must also mention while I'm on the topic, that a lot of phonies say they believe in this and that just to make other people think that they are pious people.

Talking about phony people and then news from the USA, I must mention Obama. But I'll mention that in Part 2.

I can't beleive this one

While surfing the internet a while back, just to see how much more rotten this world has gotten, I came across this site. I will not even mention the name of this site, nor share a link. Being a Christian, I find it very hard to believe or even stomach what they claim in it. I typed in the URL again recently and it's still up. Honestly, I am not surprised because of all the people that have claimed to have given up on their faithfulness in the Creator of everything that wasn’t man made. If by mistake you come across this site, you better make sure that your faith is deeply ingrained in your mind before you attempt to read it. Mind you I said to make sure your faithfulness is really engrained in your brain because the people that wrote this are really convincing as to the way they have taken apart the scriptures. They are intelligent enough in their reason for saying what they do. Actually I would not advise any Christians to read it. I found it and read it just out of curiosity and now I feel bad about having read it.

I realize that I might have made a mistake by writing this because I’m sure that someone will do their best to find it and that is one reason why I did not mentioned the name of the site.

Greedy people, climate change, security and God

Yesterday afternoon I was sitting out on the back porch when all of a sudden for no reason a thought came to my mind. I started to wonder how many stupid people were thinking about what kind of rumor they could start spreading so that they could benefit from it. It would have to be believable enough for politicians to pick up on that rumor and start scamming people by trying to make them believe that the world is in danger because of it and they need more money to combat this threat. Like the rumor the planet is heating up and when this didn’t seem to convince people then they started talking about climate change and claiming that it will affect the security of the USA. What a crock.

I’m 80 years old and as far as I can remember every 3 months the climate changes and that happens every year. As for the security of the USA it’s the government that is the biggest threat because of its non-transparency and of lies and secrets and also by their foreign policy of trying to make friends with enemies of the USA and alienating the friendly ones.

Like I mentioned before I am not too much of a religious person. I started reading the scriptures because of a lot of things that is preached by the preachers of the Bible I did not believe and it finally got to my curiosity. By reading some of them so far what is going to be the real downfall of the USA will not be the heating of the planet or climate change but the faithlessness of the people and the people giving up their faith in God. In a previous post I wrote more about the USA and its downfall.

I would say if you have given up on your belief in God I would strongly suggest that you start reading the scriptures starting with Revelations and you will be very surprised as to what was predicted by the prophets in the old Biblical days which has become the truth in this world. There were 4 prophets and by reading the scriptures it will be known to you as who they were. I started reading the scriptures because of my curious nature and now I can’t stop because what was prophesied in those days we can see the results now of how accurate those prophecies became to be.

Unbelievers

More and more often, we hear about non-believers (or unbelievers as I call them) not wanting to hear about anything that would refer to God, or any objects that would hint of any kind of religious beliefs. A lot of it comes out in the United States around Christmas displays in government buildings.  These are the type of people that have no faith - except perhaps in themselves.  It's okay to have faith in yourself, but it's also okay to have faith in God if that is how you feel.

End of the World?

There are a lot of predictions about the end of the world. The end of the world will come, not from the invisible entity we call God but by stupid human beings that are fighting for power and also over differences in faith. They are the ones that will destroy us all (and themselves). Here is what a scientist from NASA has to say about this rumor of the end of this world on the 21st of this month.

These fears are based on misinterpretations of the Mayan calendar. On the 21st, the date of the winter solstice, a calendar cycle called the 13th b'ak'tun comes to an end. Although Maya scholars agree that the ancient Maya would not have seen this day as apocalyptic, rumors have spread that a cosmic event may end life on Earth on that day.
Thus NASA's involvement. The space agency maintains a 2012 information page debunking popular Mayan apocalypse rumors, such as the idea that a rogue planet will hit Earth on Dec. 21, killing everyone. (In fact, astronomers are quite good at detecting near-Earth objects, and any wandering planet scheduled to collide with Earth in three weeks would be the brightest object in the sky behind the sun and moon by now.
"There is no true issue here," David Morrison, an astrobiologist at NASA Ames Research Center, said...

On Religion

What is going on with Canada and the United States?

These two countries for some reason, seem to have turned against religion all of a sudden. Maybe it's been slowly happening, but it seems more sudden to me.  Did I miss it when the Messiah came down from Heaven and committed some kind of a crime? That would explain why there has been a marginalization of religion lately. Or is there just too much talk about the topic of religion?  Or maybe it is used in politics too often.  I don't know, but religion just seems to be a bad word, a bad idea nowadays.

Have we as Canadians and Americans turned into nations of unbelievers without faith? If this is so then we have a big problem.  If we don’t have faith in the good Lord then what do we have faith in? Ourselves?  I personally don't have a lot of faith in people (i.e. ourselves).  We generally don't have a great track record.  In North America we've had a better track record than most of the rest of the world as far as civility and decency.  But, we had religion helping us along.

I do think there are still a lot of people that believe in the good Lord, and I am one of them.

I have as my personal saying "a person without faith, is a person that is lost". Whatever is written in the Bible (e.g. the Ten Commandments), a person without faith does not believe in conducting themselves according to those ideas.  That person is a candidate for incineration once deceased. That’s my way of thinking.

And that's my rant today.
