Something is not right. Weird even.

I live on a corner of an intersection that has a 4 way stop.

Every day if it's nice outside, I will sit out and tie my dog to the railing of the porch and just watch what is going on at this 4 way stop. We all know that coming to a stop of any intersection you have to make a complete stop and make sure that it’s safe before going on.

Since I moved here I’ve been sitting outside I have observed something weird. Now a lot of us know when coming to a stop sign we have to stop completely. A rolling stop (we call it a Mexican stop because no stop is done completely, you just slow down and keep on going if it’s safe to do so, and of course if there are no police around). Usually it’s mostly men that are guilty of this but since I’ve been sitting outside and watch the comings and goings at this particular intersection. I have noticed something weird. I noticed that most drivers that do make those Mexican stops are women. It's most often in the morning, that is if they do make any kind of a stop at any time. Many of the men do the same thing but not nearly as much as the woman. In the afternoon the goings on at the stops are the same things but with one difference instead of woman being on their cell phones it’s the men. I find that unusual because woman are known to spend a lot of time on the phones yet I haven’t seen a woman on her cell phone while coming to this intersection.

Now I’m not going to mention where this 4 way stop is all I’m going to say is that it’s in Gatineau. So far there has not been any accidents because of those stops and besides I wouldn’t want anyone to get a ticket because of my nosiness and that is why I’m not saying where this intersection is. I must say it is interesting to watch because then you can see who has a sore neck and who hasn’t just the way they move their head.

Video got me thinking

I was reading the news on CNN  this morning and spotted a video . I clicked on it and it was from the Church of God narrated by  Mr. D. C. Pack and he stated that Jesus was crucified to eradicate the sins of man. Now what about the woman? She was created By God and given the breath of life just like man was.

What I’m wondering is why is it mostly man that is mentioned in the Bible? According to what I thought, it was a woman that committed the first “sin” and even Jesus disciples where all men. I  wonder if this is why woman is considered  less than human in some third world countries? I know when I was young and lived with my grandparents they were Catholics. I remember a lot of times in the discussions of the adult men that a woman belongs in the house to raise a family and to take care of kids and husband. I also remember that a woman had to have some thing on her head to go into a Catholic Church. I don’t know if that has  changed. I guess this is why nuns are covered from head to ankles.

Have any scrolls or tablets been found to tell us the truth?  Has  the Bible been changed so much by the translation of it that the true version in the original language of what the disciples have suppose to have written been changed? Perhaps it could have happened because there was no replacement for those words and the results changed the meaning of a sentence or paragraph. Were all those disciples able to write? This is the reason I say to obey the ten commandments. They are pretty straightforward and hard to have their meanings twisted. They are what they are.

Gods

My beef today is with the amount of gods that we have according to the religions of today. Apparently, we have a god for humans (and different versions of God too), and gods to protect the forests. I was brought up to think that there was only one God and that God was a loving God and a forgiving God.

These days, with all the religions and cults, we have like I mentioned before, gods for almost everything that any group can come up with. And most of those groups do not even touch the Ten Commandments that is mentioned in the Bible.

Then we have all the different rules that they want people to follow in order to belong to these groups, and some of these laws do not even reflect the wishes of a forgiving God. For example take the cutting off of a human’s body part or stoning another person to death or murdering another person by different means because of some laws relating to a certain religion by fanatics who use this kind of thinking just to torture or kill someone. Or even to kill in the name of honor.

Because of some of these laws woman are treated as the lowest class of citizens in some countries. In fact not too long ago even in civilized countries they were not allowed to vote or do things men were allowed to do. Even today in the Catholic religion a woman has to be covered up if she chooses to be a nun. The only thing they can show are there hands and face. It used to be when a woman went to church she had to have some kind of a netting over her face and the head had to be covered. I don’t know if their heads have to be covered these days. I don’t know if things have changed but I remember that a woman was not allowed to be ordained as a priest in the Catholic religion. I don't think that has changed.

Now I don’t know if I should ask, but is it because Jesus never had woman as a disciple? And is this why woman are being treated like slaves in some countries? Or do some people think that God was ignoring women and this would give some people the idea that God didn't trust a woman and therefore a woman should not be treated as equal to men?  It's another thing that bothers me. Women shouldn't be treated as second class citizens.

On a side note I  have another question.  Don’t ask me where it says this in the Bible, but isn't there a passage where it says that all your love should be for God only? But there is also a passage that says if you have sex without love to a woman it’s considered to be lust and that’s what the Catholics teach. Those seem to be contradictory to me.

That is my little rant of the day.

                   Have a good day

Egypt's war on women

This was taken from the Ottawa Sun website.  I've lost the original link, but here's the complete, brief article that I want to address.

Women in Egypt are fighting proposed laws that would permit men to have sex with their wives up to six hours after death.
On Monday, Egypt's National Council for Women sent a letter to Egyptian People's Assembly Speaker Dr. Saad al-Katatni, asking parliament not to approve the controversial laws, the Egyptian newspaper Al Ahram reported.
The council argued the new marriage rules, lowering the legal age to 14, and the "farewell sex" legislation are similar to traditions that have prevented women from working or being educated.
The idea that marriage remains valid, even after death, came from Moroccan cleric Zamzami Abdul Bari, who spoke about it in May 2011. He also said women have the same right to have sex with their dead husbands?
What can I say except - Can you believe this? Forget the stupidity of the law itself, Egypt clear has issues with respect for women. Apparently the Arab Spring was meant for men only.

That’s my short rant of the day.

Preparing for WAR!

Battle of the sexes

Ouch.
Prepare for war, but not with bombs.  I'm talking about a war of the sexes. Sorry ladies, this is not meant to insult anyone but something just dawned on me while I was sitting here and thinking of what to write.

This what I find comical - some of you ladies might not think so but hear me out. When watching movies of cowboys and Indians, what  do the Indians do before going to war? They paint their faces and away they go.  When I see a woman getting ready to go out for the evening, and she wants to look sexier or look more beautiful than the other woman and draw attention to herself, she puts on what I call her war paint and away she goes and that’s why I call this war of the sexes.

I have to mention also that some men (and I mean some) will also put on some war paint to go out and all kinds of cologne to smell good but not to attract a woman. What I find ironic is some woman look beautiful without all that war paint and some do indeed ruin their natural looks because of adding war paint.  Yet they go out, dressed in war paint to defeat other women in their quest for men and also to lure men to them.  It's like a free for all battle.

I hope this did not offend anyone as this was an observation and if it did it wasn’t meant to do that.

Have a good make up day.

Islamic cleric

I thought that some pastors in the U.S.A. would come out with some weird statements at times. This Islamic cleric has them beat with his ideas.

I was surfing the internet the other morning and here is what I found:
An Islamic cleric residing in Europe said that "women should not be close to bananas or cucumbers, in order to avoid any sexual thoughts.”
If any one is interested in reading about more stupid statements I would refer you to this site http://bikyamasr.com that I found all this on .He also has something for men they should stay away from. You want a good laugh? read all of it, even Islamists find this stupid.

Not quite perfect

I say our Creator made a mistake when he created the human species, specifically, the female kind.

There are quite a few woman that I know that I find are real nice but at a certain time of the month they become monsters and dangerous to mankind. This time of the month is disaster time for both sexes - one runs for cover while the other throws everything that they can put their hands on, develops a vocabulary of words of their own and their imagination runs on overtime until the PMS is over. I'll let you guess which sex is which.
