Criticism

I have never heard so much criticism against a province, as I hear lately from the province of Ontario about the province of Québec. And it always seems to come from the same people that call in to the radio station CFRA on the Lowell Green talk show every  morning.

First there was a complaint, which was against what was on the Québec licence plate “I remember” apparently that's an insult. The next issue is that in Québec we are a bunch of separatists. Last but not least the federal government gives too much money to Québec in equalization payments and they don’t like their money going to this province.  A new variation of this last complaint this morning on the talk show, someone  said “ I don’t like my money going to a separatist government.” That's a lot of complaints and criticism.

I almost forgot one other criticism they have. This is also supposed to be the most corrupt province in Canada.

People in Ontario can criticize this province as much as they want but I only wish that instead of spending their time criticizing this province, they should vote those provincial Liberals out the next election as  they are just as bad as the Liberals we had here provincially. Liberals are Liberals. It seems the first thing on their agenda is “ What can we tax next? ” Liberals - federally or provincially should not even exist in fact they should be called wallet diggers if they insist on being a political party and that would give people a warning as to what they can expect by voting for them.

I know, I’m sorry from jumping from my criticism  from the complaints about Québec to Liberals but when I hear or even think about Liberals I go off track in my thinking.

Have a good day.

My fearless Quebec election prediction

The language situation in Quebec is very possibly going to be the cause of a revolution. I hope it never happens, but by electing someone like PQ leader Pauline Marois, as the premiere of Quebec is doubling the chances of it happening. We in Quebec were screwed for 4 years with a Liberal government and now we will be screwed even worse if she is elected as Premier of Quebec.

I understand that Quebec is a French province and people like her are scared that the French language will disappear. If she is elected as Premier, whatever businesses that profit the province in the form of business taxes and jobs, will move out. Extremism in any form is not attractive to business. Difficult rules, language rules in this case, are not attractive to business either. Businesses will leave. In the end, there will be nothing here but small businesses that won’t be any great help to the growth of the province.

It's a Bad Idea

I realize that the biggest majority of us in Canada wanted to do away with the Liberals and some with the Bloc Quebecois. But I think there was a big mistake made by the ones that voted for the NDP. Mr. Layton has proved me right again. I stated on my previous post that it was not the ordinary citizen that has been talking about separation, but the politicians. Layton has done it again. What I read in the Citizen News, The National Post wrote some thing about it.

Are we in trouble?

Special guy?
Here we go again, talking about Quebec wanting to separate. I said in a previous post that it’s not the ordinary citizens that are talking about separation it’s the politicians.

This morning I was listening to Lowell Green’s talk show (again) on radio station CFRA. What did I hear Mr. Green stating? That the leader of the opposition in the House of Commons stated that Quebec would only need 50%+1 vote to separate. I believe Lowell Green is correctly quoting Mr. Layton. Mr. Green has all the facts in front of him.
