I'm just wondering

I’m just wondering if our new neighbors to the south will be a communist country or a third world country by the time their supposed to be president or King or Emperor is out of office. I am a Canadian and I worry about that. I know some smart ass will be reading this and say like I've seen before on a comment that a Canadian had made and just below that one another commented that the Canadian should mind his own business. Well I will say to that person enjoy your freedom of speech because soon you will not have that luxury.

Furthermore I am just expressing my opinions as to what is going on in the USA. If you're an American and you have a problem with that, then you don't believe in the principles of free speech that is a cornerstone of your own country. And if you are Canadian and think I should be more concerned about what goes on in Canada, how do you know I'm not? Of course I'm concerned about Canada. It's a big reason I worry about America. If you're Canadian and you don't think about that, you are being myopic (i.e. you have a limiting, narrow view of the world). The question shouldn't be "Why do I care?", it should be "Why DON'T you care?"

I realize that by reading the news you have to believe half of what you read and leave the balance for future reference because not all of it could be true except when it's shown on a video. So you have to wait and see. I can see there seems to be less worry about the security of the nation than there was in the past. A president who is busy making friends that are more or less enemies of the USA and at the same time alienating, friendly countries. That should concern everyone.

All I can say is that who you people have elected is a leader that was elected to destroy the USA using communist tactics - a bit at a time. He's got minions who are little more than bum kissers. You people just don’t seem to have people with balls to represent you in the White House administration. I think they left them at home when they were employed by the government.

Free speech? There is no such thing as free speech.

There is no such thing as free speech. When I hear people say you’re allowed to say what you have on your mind, I disagree. Sure you can say what you have on your mind but there are some laws that can be broken by saying what is on your mind. These days, if you say something that someone doesn’t agree with, you can be brought to court and sued for it. You can also offer your opinion on some things and obtain the same result.

These days in order to make sure that you don’t get sued for using what they call free speech, or offering an opinion, you would have to actually do an investigation of the facts before making any kind of statement. Then the person doing this could be charged with invading a person’s privacy by investigating that person privately. Now, where is this free speech that people are talking about? 

To me, free speech is just like politicians when they make a statement, and in making their point they say “we have to think of the children’s future.” That is their way out for lack of anything else to say. Even friends can turn against you for making what they would call a bad statement just to advance themselves in a career or wanting another career.

In theory we have free speech, but there are so many restrictions on it that it doesn't really exist.  So I will suggest just saying so much when you talk. Then say no more on the subject. It can be too much of a risk for you.

If people nowadays don’t have the brain power to think and realize what is happening to free speech, I would say they are lost to this world of people who are too preoccupied to learn things that the schools don’t teach. The restraints on free speech also affects what you see on the news.  It's all done in politically correct ways.  News is news, facts are facts but when they get put through a filter it is not news anymore, it becomes opinion.  That's not a healthy way to keep the public informed.

Egotistical people

I'm guessing that most everyone has met someone with a big ego. This type of person can be the most hateful sort of person in the world when their over-sized ego kicks in. If you try to explain anything to them, they already know everything and in their eyes no one else has a clue. To their way of thinking, they are never wrong about anything and to get along with them you have to agree with pretty much everything they say, even though sometimes you know that if you agree with them just to keep the peace, it makes you feel like you are allowing yourself to be controlled by an idiot that more or less claims to know everything.

I know a person that thinks he’s above everyone else in intelligence but as soon as he opens his mouth to speak, you can tell that whatever he says is his ego making his tongue wag just like a dog wags it's tail. There is not a phrase that comes out of that egotistical mouth without embellishing it with foul words.  If I try to correct him by explaining that it doesn't make him seem any smarter or more intelligent by using that kind of language or better than the person that he is having a conversation with it doesn't really help.  After all, I'm just one of those people without a clue.

It’s too bad that this person I’m talking about is otherwise a good-hearted person.  If he can do anything for you he will do it, but that big ego and language (even in his writing) makes him out to be an ignorant person.  I would help him with anything at times he makes me so damn mad at times that I won’t mention the thoughts that comes to my mind. Don’t get me wrong, he does have a good intellect, if only he would learn to control that big ego.

That is my rant today about big ego people.

Opinions.

It's nice to be free to voice your opinions, or write them, but some people will offer their opinions, without thinking of the problems they can create. This is especially true when it concerns Islam and their Prophet Mohammed or the Q’uran.

Now we all know, that anything that is said or done in regards to Islam, is taken seriously by Muslims whether it be good or bad. It seems that most people that have anything to say against Islam, don’t think before offering their opinions and then always the same outcome results from Islamist - riots and riots, kill and kill.

These pastors that wanted to burn the Q’uran, need to ask themselves how many people have been killed because of that? This Anti-Islamist movie Producer, a movie against Islam, is yet another example. The video is on you tube and already some people have been killed because of it. Where did this producer go? In hiding he’s safe but what about the innocent people that are being killed because of him not using his brain? Or was it the hunger for money? Without thinking of what the Islamist would do or he just couldn’t care less?
