What the priest tells us.

I’ve mentioned this subject before, in a previous post. When I was young and living with my grandparents, the priest of the parish would come to our school that was next to the church and talk to us about God. He used to tell us a lot of things about God. One thing that he said that I didn’t believe at the time was that "God said before the end of times come, people will deny my existence.” Now I’m beginning to think that he spoke the truth when he said that.

Celibacy

If anyone listens to a Catholic Priest as to why they take an oath of celibacy, they would find out that this oath is ridiculous.

Here is my reason for saying this: As a kid the Catholic Priest use to tell us that the oath of celibacy is to show that all your love is for God and God only, no one else. So it means that if you have intercourse, you can’t love that person. But according to the Bible it's considered lust and lust is considered a sin if you have an intercourse without love.

So we are screwed so to speak. If you have intercourse without love it's lust and if you love the person then your denying your love to God. Now what choice do we have? I made my choice a long time ago.

Priest

When I was a kid living with my grandparents in this little town in Quebec, we had a priest that had the same answer for almost any thing tragic that would happen. His answer would  always be "it was God's will". As kids we always had some questions for him because the monastery used to be next to the school and whenever we were on break he would come along and talk to the kids and as I said, we always had questions to ask him.
