Inconsiderate people and noise pollution.
I seem to be on a noise tangent lately, but it's because of my current circumstances. After 15 years in living in a quite old house, I had to move to an apartment building as I have mentioned previously. The old house was going to be demolished to build something else in its place. I hate living in an apartment. Other people live there too and in my current case especially, inconsiderate people that think that they are the only ones living there. They have no consideration for other people.
I live on the first floor and the people that live above me have no idea that walking with shoes on makes it sounds more like boots. They don't know or care about how it sounds down here. Then at times it sounds like a person is walking with slippers or barefoot but it still sounds as if she/he doesn’t realize that walking using the heel instead of a flat foot sounds just has bad as wearing shoes or boots does. Boots gives a sharp bang. Walking and stomping your heel sounds like a thump and its just as bad.

Talking loudy, almost yelling.
Yesterday I was complaining about loud music. This morning I was woken up by loud talking. No kidding. I looked at the time and it was 8:30 a.m. Across the street from where I live, there is a little convenience store. I thought there was some kind of a fight or argument which it seems is common around here. Anyway I sat up in bed and looked out my window just to find out that there were one old man in front of the store and another old man on the opposite side of the street. They were talking loudly to one another across the street. The one old man that was in front of the store ended the conversation and walked away. Then the one that was on the opposite side of the then walked across to where the other had been standing and walked in to the store.
That was the end of it. But not the end of my issue with it.

Hoping for cold weather.
Take it somewhere else. I'm sleeping. |
I’m hoping for the real cold weather to get here. By having cold weather there will be peace and quiet. Those people who think that everyone wants to listen to the music that they themselves enjoy will have to close their house and car windows. I recently moved to an apartment. It is more or less on the corner of an intersection. My bedroom happens to be on the corner and the window is about 6 feet from the street corner. It's a 4 way stop at the intersection. At night, this intersection seems to be the only way that people coming out of the clubs use to go home. Of course that means a lot of traffic and there are always idiots that like to have their car windows open and have their music blaring full blast.

Province of Québec - self inflicted wound
Québec. This province, I have noticed from the time that I have been living here, that most people are not married to money like they are in Ontario. The only thing that is missing here, would be to have politicians who would care about the economy instead of worrying about seceding from the rest of the country and become a country of its own.
Some politicians in this province has created so much animosity towards the English speaking people that some of the citizens from Ontario are saying that they would be better off if Québec would separate from the rest of Canada. I know because I’m always interested in what they report on the news. What I hear on a certain radio station of which I listen to from Monday to Friday morning illustrates the growing animosity aimed at Québec. Hardly a day goes by that I don’t hear some complaints about this province. I realize some are legitimate and some are fabricated by some people that don’t know what they are talking about. Just the fact that they are on the radio makes their day and it shows how some people can be stupid and ignorant.

What is wrong with some people?
Not Prime Minister material. |
On one site on the internet (I forget where) there is a poll going on that is asking whether voters would vote for Prime Minister Harper or for the Liberals. I checked my answer then it shows you the overall results. So far it’s the Liberals ahead by a small margin. Now I’m asking myself what is so popular about the Liberals?
What have the Liberals done that has been so great for this country that people would want to vote for them again? The Liberals are always busy trying to find some way to put a tax on something. And now to make matters worse, they have elected a person as their leader that doesn’t have any experience in managing the business of a country. This runs contrary to some people saying that he’s too young to be a Prime Minister. But it's not his age that is at issue. I don’t believe that he would be too young to manage the country but it’s about knowing good policies and good politics. Even something as simple as how to speak like a real politician instead of running off at the mouth is showing the lack of maturity. Trudeau has been making stupid statements when questioned about what his ideas are concerning the province of Québec.

No boots on the ground. Why not?
From what I have read about ISIS, it seems that the only way that these killers will be stopped is by putting boots on the ground in Syria, Iraq or wherever they go. When I hear that people are tired of war, I figure this way of thinking is bull. Yes, I understand tha they might be tired of war but the war is not going to get tired of coming to them. Sometimes you just don't have a choice if you want to be in a war. What if people said that during WWII? We'd probably be speaking German today. When it comes to Jihadists like ISIS, people should be willing to put boots on the ground. I’m sure that if the USA would put troops on the ground the members of the coalition would be willing to do so too.

Saving the president’s presidency.
When I opened up NewsMax the other morning this was the first thing I see: “Angry Democrats hoping for shake up at White House to save the presidency of Obama”.
What is wrong with those Democrats? Aren’t they supposed to be loyal Americans? Can’t they see what this supposed-to-be-president is doing to the nation? This president has downgraded the USA down to nothing; refusing to go after the American killers, refusing to put boots on the ground to battle ISIS, and by not doing so leaving a bunch of killers killing and torturing people at will. He must realize that just bombing them will not stop them. Or does he think that the bombs are smart enough to chase those killers on the ground and blow them up?
This supposed-to-be-president has shown that he could care less about the nation and the sooner he’s out of there the better. They need to have someone as a leader that does care about the security of the nation and its people and someone qho has enough common sense not to leave the borders open to let all kinds of riff raff in like what is happening now.
The border is wide open - terrorists can come in anytime they want. Iranian ships allowed in American waters, FEMA camps, police being given battle field equipment, the ordering of guillotines, at one time accused by the Egyptians of supporting the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt. More could be said on the way that he’s governing but the list would be too long, so I’ll just stop here.
Yet those Democrats are worried about saving this supposed-to-be-president’s presidency. I would worry more about saving the nation instead of this president that dowan’t seem to know too much about anything that he hasn’t learned in school. To me this person acting as the president of the USA is a very dangerous person to the nation. Anyone that can’t see this has to be blind and stupid to the point of being ignorant of what is happening.
That’s my rant of the day.

What some people won’t do for money
In case you thought I was getting soft with all the pay it forward, what goes around comes around stuff, here's another rant for you.
What some people won’t do just to make a couple of dollars, even to the extent of putting their life in danger. The first of October I had to move because the old house I was renting was in sad shape. The landlord received permission from the city to demolish it as he wanted to build a duplex. When he informed me that he received permission to demolish it, I looked for another place, I found one just a couple of blocks away from where I had been living. On the first of October I moved. After everything had been moved, and was settled in I noticed something for the first time. I had to go to the bathroom for the first time in the new place. I walked in the bathroom and when I flipped the switch for the light, none came on. So the next day I informed my new landlord and she said that she would send an electrician down the next day to see what was wrong.
The next morning there was knocking at the front door. When I answered it, this guy introduced himself as the electrician who was here to fix the bathroom light. I let him in but I noticed that he never had any tools or tester to check the wires. So I followed him to the bathroom and what did he do? After disconnecting two of the wires that were connected together, I found out that his tester was thumb and index finger. He touches one wire with his thumb and the other one with his index finger then he turns around and says "I feel a little tingle". I would say that if there would have been the 110 volt that it was supposed to have he would have taken a flip off the toilet he was standing on. Not very professional.
I guess he went back to the landlord and told her that there was power. But the next day she sent a real electrician and he tested those same wires with his tester and found out that there was only 75 volts coming through. Since the kitchen light wasn’t working either, he took that one apart and found out that the way it was connected it was causing a short so he had to repair that one also.
I would say that the first one that represented himself as an electrician is a danger to himself and the property of others and other people’s lives. He's getting paid identifying himself as having a skill that he probably doesn't really have. While talking to him, I realize that the first "electrician" seemed to have a big ego and that big ego is liable to affect his decisions especially in doing electrical work.
That’s my rant of the day.

What goes around comes around (Part 2)
Here is another example of what goes around comes around.
I had rented this house and had been living there for 18 years. After 14 years of living there the original landlord died and his wife, the landlady, sold it. After it was bought by another person he asked me if I would sign a lease with him and I did.
After 4 years he decided to get that old run down house demolished to build a duplex. So I had to move out recently. But he did offer me an apartment somewhere else. I didn’t want to move in the section of town that it was in so I found a place myself instead and I moved out.
I have always paid my rent, but something happened one month when I was with the old landlord and instead of paying my rent on the first like I usually did I paid it at the last of the month. After that, I was always running a month behind and that payment cycle carried on with the new landlord.
So when I moved out, I offered to pay for the last month and then I would only owe him for the month that I was behind. Surprisingly, he refused the 2 months that I would have had to pay him ($1000.00). And to top it, off he offered to give me money if I needed some. He also told me that when his duplex is finally built in that old location, and is ready for renting that he will let me know. I will have the first opportunity to rent it from him.
I will say that these two people have showed me that there are still good people in this world and that not everyone puts money ahead of a person in need. They have renewed my faith in other people.
So that's not exactly a rant, but it is worth sharing.

What goes around comes around (Part 1)
Do you believe in that old saying what goes around comes around? Well, I must say I didn’t always believe in that saying. Since I was old enough to work for my money I’ve always helped anyone that needed help and I never expected to get it back. I’m 79 so it has been a while. I would say about a year ago I received a big surprise which I never expected.
My granddaughter had come down for a visit and she told me about a friend of hers that needed money to get either her driving permit renewed or for insurance for her car (I don’t remember the exact details).
I gave my granddaughter the money to bring to her and I never expected to get it back. When my granddaughter came down a couple of weeks later she informed me that the lady had given her the money that I had lent her. I was surprised because usually when I have lent money out, it was never given back to me. Anyway when talking with my granddaughter I mentioned that I would have to buy myself a new bed as I was sleeping on a hide-a-bed but it was getting old then we moved on to talking about something else.
My granddaughter comes down every two weeks to and when she dropped by my place she brought in a big box and it turned out to be a brand new bed. It had been bought by the lady to whom I had lent the money that she needed. I offered to pay her back for the bed and she refused.
To be continued.

Police protecting citizens in the USA. LOL
This is something hard to believe. I wrote before that the USA is either turning into a third world country or a communist one. Now I've changed my mind after reading this. I would say it’s already a combination of the two of them. With everything I’ve read about some police officers’ conduct on duty being contrary to what they were hired to do, the nation has already tipped off the cliff. Police were hired to protect the people.
From what I’ve seen on videos and read on the news, a lot of them should be hired as policeman in Russia because they act like the judge and jury and they like to beat up people for no reason. I will point out that not all of them conduct themselves in that manner and those officers are getting a bad reputation from the rotten ones.
I would say if a person applies to become a police officer, having grade 10 completed would have to be one condition. It seems like they might have been short of applicants so if grade 10 were one of the conditions, then they might of hired 2 persons that might have completed grade 5 instead. The 2 combined would be grade 10 and put them on detail together as partners. LOL. When I read or see what some people do when put in a position of authority it makes me mad to see that they become judge and jury and not accountable to anyone in their way of thinking.
If you have any intentions of visiting the USA, be careful. There are some brainless cops on the loose over there. Don’t try to argue because you might be charged for resisting arrest, and if you’re not charge with that, they will find some excuse to charge you with something else.
Like I mentioned above, they are certainly not all like that. There are some good ones that know what their duties are and conduct themselves appropriately. But you don't know when you run into a police officer if that's who you will be dealing with.
That’s my rant of the day.

John Abbot
Here is another politician saying (I guess) what he thinks that some people want to hear:
“Ontario has always taken a hard line when it comes to its provincial anti-smoking laws and MPP John Abbot says.”
If he manages to get a registry of the sort he is suggesting, I just wonder if it’s going to cost the tax payers billions like it did for the gun registry. Probably.
From what I understand the gun registry doesn’t exist anymore. Does he think that kind of statement would get him elected in the next provincial election? I don’t think so.
If the politicians of Ontario would smarten up they could find out why the companies that make all kinds of garbage to stop smoking, don’t produce a safe product that would not affect the heart of a person that would want to stop smoking. It’s a known fact that smoking affects the function of the heart. For instance, seniors that have trouble walking, people sitting at their desk all day and have no time for exercise, what happens to their heart?
The heart loses pressure, their lungs get filled with the fluids because the heart has lost strength and doesn’t have enough pressure to push the fluids out of the lungs and the results are that you drown in your own intake of fluids. That’s exactly what happened to me. I died briefly as a result of it, then came back alive again. My kidneys and lungs had shut down and once the fluids had been drained from my lungs the heart picked up strength again. I was lucky.
Now you go and buy a product to help you to stop smoking and when you read the label it says consult a physician before using if you have heart problems. John Abbot is looking in the wrong place for a solution.

Global warming.
For us who keep up with what is going on in the world, I find that this world is getting worse and worse for people lying and imagining and twisting things around just to get themselves in the news.
Here is one of the things we hear about every day: Global warming. To me this global warming hysteria is garbage. I believe it is the results of someone turning up the thermostat before going to bed because it got cool and with the sun rising in the morning, it got hot again. But because he was having a nightmare about him being on Mars and the setting of the thermostat the previous night and then the thought came in to this person's mind that the planet was warming up. So this person believed in spreading the word that the planet was heating up knowing full well that the government would enact more rules or laws to rip people off an make life more miserable for them. That's about as plausible as the world actually overheating in recent times.
I live in Canada and usually in the summer the heat used to become unbearable. Now we get some hot days in the summer but not nearly like before. In fact, there was a couple of days the heat came on automatically in my home, as I leave the thermostat on at 21 Celsius which would be approximately 68 to 70 Fahrenheit.
Even in September the heat would not come on until almost the end of the month in years past. Now it came on after the second week of September. So the person that came out claiming that the planet was warming up must hear some little voices in his head talking to him. In my observation, even the people that predict the weather are wrong most of the time when talking about 3-5 days from now. So this person predicting the weather for the whole planet and decades into the future must be hearing voices because he can't be using reasonable science.

Was this done purposely?
Be prepared to be surprised. I am about to cut president Obama some slack.
Some people tend to criticize without waiting to see what is really going to happen. The speech that was given by Obama in regards to ISIS does deserve a little bit of time. Myself, I don’t like him because he doesn’t seem to know too much about the strategy of war. And I have criticized his approach to a number of things, including ISIS.
The speech he made sounded as if he was giving ISIS his plans for attacking them. On the surface, that seems pretty dumb. I will ask this though - was it to throw them off on what he really intends to do? If that was, it backfired because these sadists would start hiding among the civilians and move their equipment into schools and around the most populated areas because they would know that a coalition would not bomb a school or hospital or where there was heavy traffic of civilians.
If I was to give a speech like He did, I would make sure that what I would say would be all lies because I would already have a plan B (which was actually my plan A). It would be contrary to what I said when I had given such a speech. That is why I call people brainless for criticizing him without waiting to see if that was exactly what he intended to do.
Maybe that was part of his plan that would get the people in an uproar and would be more convincing to those killers. In the meantime he could deploy troops and go in with guerrilla warfare tactics. They would not be ready for that kind of battle. He could have had spotters (or drones) to indicate where most of those killers would be at and hit them hard. And whether they be any Westerners or not, blast them because if Westerners are among those people that would mean they are with them than they deserve the same treatment kill them all.
So, maybe Obama will surprise us. Maybe he does have a secret plan, or his generals do. If so, then he'll deserve credit for the deception for once. But in the end, he may disappoint us because his plan was pathetic. All I'm saying is that it's too early to tell at this point. If we are going to be disappointed in him for mishandling ISIS, there will be plenty of time to do that down the road.
